cheap floor fixes.
let’s face it friends. sometimes the eyesore in the room is not your furniture, but the floor itself. not all of us are lucky enough to have hardwoods, especially in rental units. here’s two great ideas for concealing the sins of whoever picked that faux-brick linoleum.
tape:
this homeowner bought rolls of tape in her favorite colors and laid them down. it’s probably the easiest solution i’ve ever seen, and maybe the cheapest. plus the customization options are endless. more tape floors at apartment therapy.
rugs:
rugs are the first solution we usually come up with, but also pretty expensive. we like to pick up a couple of these inexpensive 2×3 rag rugs from target or ikea, and then stitch them together with a matching, or contrasting yarn. you could have a 6×6 square for 20 bucks and change!
